One Strike and You're Out!



Some say that lightning never strikes the same place twice, unfortunately one strike is usually enough to take a tree out of the game.


Lightning protection systems are lengths of highly conductive copper wire stapled to the tree's bark. The wires reach out to the highest points of the tree and run all the way to the ground. This wire diverts the lightning into it and down into the ground, instead going through the tree.
