Signs vs Symptoms



When it comes to diagnosing problems with your trees there are two things to look out for, signs & symptoms.


Signs are direct evidence of a pest or pathogen (i.e. fungi, egg casings, insects, boring holes).


Symptoms are a trees reaction to a pest or pathogen (i.e. galls, dieback, witches' broom, excessive sap).
